Dr Vlad ILLIE is an Australian trained, fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with appointments at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Gosford Private Hospital and Gosford Public Hospital. Dr ILLIE consults in rooms at Sydney Centre for Plastic Surgery  in Bondi Junction and at Gosford private hospital.

Dr ILLIE completed his specialist surgical training in Sydney, being awarded a FRACS Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr ILLIE has undertaken post-fellowship training in the areas of microsurgery, breast and both cosmetic and facial reconstruction surgery in Oxford (UK) and Stuttgart (Germany).

He undertakes a broad range of procedures, spanning from reconstructive and aesthetic facial surgery, breast surgery, body contouring and skin cancer removal.

 

Dr ILLIE is part of the head and neck cancer, breast and skin cancer multidisciplinary teams at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre. He is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Alongside his role as a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW Medicine, he previously served as Instructor for Microsurgical Courses and Anatomy tutor and demonstrator at the University of Sydney. 

Possessing a Master of Surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr ILLIE consistently publishes intricate research and clinical findings stemming from his extensive expertise. Currently, his research focus is on Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation and innovative methods for monitoring heart and lung transplants using skin free flaps.
